I am a graduate of the Faculty of Letters at the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, where I majored in English and minored in Spanish. My undergraduate thesis focused on the question of faith in Thomas Hardy’s late novels, examining the contrasting approaches to faith as depicted in Tess of the d’Urbervilles and Jude the Obscure. This research allowed me to delve more deeply into the interplay between faith, tradition, and superstition during the Victorian era. In addition, this particular subject also enabled me to discover more about human struggles, beliefs, and the way in which the latter influence people’s mentalities.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I am deeply passionate about human rights and gender equality, as well as visual arts, music, and cinematography, which have provided me with alternative lenses through which to explore and understand diverse cultures and perspectives.

Embarking on this MA programme represents the natural continuation of my prior studies, offering an invaluable opportunity to expand my intellectual and professional horizons. It will not only enrich my understanding and perception of the world and its different cultures, but also equip me with the necessary skills and qualifications to achieve my lifelong dream of becoming an English teacher.
