I’ve been enchanted by literature, history and culture from a young age. However, I’ve started to understand my fascination with these particular subjects only during my BA journey. While working on my BA paper I realised how much I actually enjoy the research process and I can say that deep-diving into a piece of literature was one of the most fulfilling experiences. My thesis focused on the rhetorical imagination as portrayed in The Tempest by William Shakespeare, tackling subjects such as narrative manipulation and world building. As an aspiring narrative and character designer who has been doing research on world building ever since my high school years, the British Cultural Studies MA programme seemed to be the perfect fit. Considering my passion for culture and my eternal curiosity, I am confident that the BCS programme will equip me with knowledge and critical thinking, which will become indispensable tools in my future career.
