Throughout my three years of study I became particularly interested in the complex and often unexpected ways in which identity, be it individual or collective, is constructed, and the many narrative shifts aimed at accommodating this process. As a major in English interested in British culture and literature, I consider this MA programme an excellent opportunity, on the one hand, to be exposed to essential avenues of investigation, relevant to my interests, and, on the other, to gain a solid knowledge of the methodological instruments essential to academic research.
