After completing my undergraduate studies with a major in English, I sought a deeper understanding of how power, identity, and culture intertwine in shaping societies. This passion led me to pursue an interdisciplinary MA program in British Cultural Studies that allows me to weave together philosophy, sociology, literature, and media while investigating the forces shaping cultural narratives and identities.
In my latest research, I analyzed the connections between George Orwell’s 1984 and Walker Percy’s The Moviegoer, exploring how these works illuminate shared concerns about individuality, societal conformity, and existential meaning. Moving forward, I aspire to further investigate how literature and culture act as mediums for challenging norms and broadening perspectives, using critical inquiry to foster understanding and change.
