BA in Philology (English and Russian), Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Bucharest, 2021
As a learner of foreign languages, the study of different cultures and identities has always been relevant, especially in the context of understanding and functioning in the openly multifunctional environment of the 21st century. Thus, this MA programme was a natural option for me. My research interests include trauma, translational, postcolonial, feminism studies, cultural history, religion, art, and many others and how they co-exist and interact with one another in the context of the British Isles, but also in relation to different American and European cultures.
Additionally, the connection between cultural history and personal history is tremendously important to me as they are constantly intertwined with one another. This is one idea that I have used in writing my Bachelor’s Degree, which focused on the theoretical and practical parts of a translation, namely on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Beautiful and Damned”.
