BA in Philology (English and French), Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Bucharest, 2020
As a BA student, I often used to hear about the British Cultural Studies MA. Having graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bucharest, I was drawn to pursue this MA since it seemed to cover my main interests and desires envisioned for the next step in my academic growth. BCS indeed proved and still continues to prove that it was the right choice for me, given its consideration of the many aspects of culture in all its diverse forms, as well as its integration of politics, anthropology, sociology, philosophy and philology in the curriculum.
I am currently interested in researching identity, deconstruction and the reflections of postmodernity in today’s world, but I am also fascinated with the study of rituals and the effects of their loss in our contemporary society.
