BA in Philology (Romanian and English), Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest, 2025

After three years of study at the Faculty of Letters, which I completed with a thesis in the field of cognitive linguistics, the decision to apply for the BCS MA programme embodied my personal desire to be subjected to a challenge. I have always sought to try exciting things, to expose myself to environments outside my comfort zone, and to integrate into groups that are as diverse as possible.
Professionally, I work as a freelancer, having taught Romanian and English to adolescents and adults for the past six years. My academic interests are wide-ranging and bring into productive dialogue several disciplines, including gender studies, (post)modernism, Dada and Surrealist art, contemporary poetry, (psycho-/neuro-) linguistics, pragmatics in language acquisition, interwar & Nouvelle Vague cinema, as well as creative writing.
My most recent undertaking involves holding the positions of chief editor and co-founder of Altvers- an editorial platform intended to provide recognition and visibility to young authors, particularly students, who wish to publish essays, interviews, fiction, photojournalism, and theatre/film criticism. The magazine is due to be launched at the beginning of next year and will be submitted to Romanian Design Week.
