The ‘duality’ of my specialization within the Faculty of Letters cleared the path of my main scholar interests, bringing me closer to  what I am passionate about: English culture and literature. My thesis consisted of a postclassical-narratological analysis of the Gothic novel ‘Rebecca’ by Daphne du Maurier, in which I identified psychological and psychiatric issues as major processes that underlined the representation of mental health in English literature. The British Cultural Studies MA program appeared to be very promising from the start, as its doctrine will prove to be invaluably important and constructive for my future academic career or simply for my  brain and soul.
