My interests are mainly connected to cinematography and literature, adaptation and representation being two concepts that I find fascinating and worth analyzing. I attempted to explore the latter in my most recent research paper, Representations of Evil in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. My analysis had Hannah Arendt’s concept of ‘the banality of evil’ as a starting point and traced relevant connections between villains, heroes, and the ways in which they challenge the morality of the audience.
I am equally committed to feminist writing and aspire to write and publish something of my own in the future. I chose this MA programme because its courses align perfectly with my interests in culture, politics, literature, and film. I am confident that these two years will deepen my understanding of the issues I care about while equipping me with the tools I need to pursue an academic career and realize my creative ambitions.
