After taking a particular interest in the courses in English literature that I took during my undergraduate years, applying to the MA in British Cultural Studies felt like the natural next step in my academic journey. My BA thesis was focused on analyzing, from a feminist perspective, the heroines of some of the most beloved romantic comedies by Shakespeare. What attracted me to this MA programme was the possibility of further studying subjects I am familiar with, such as arts, history and social studies, while also being introduced to new areas of research such as philosophy and media studies. I believe that this MA programme will provide me the tools and the opportunities to broaden my understanding of culture and help me achieve a more nuanced perspective on the world and current events.
