BA in Philology (Japanese and English), Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Bucharest, 2023
My BA research paper focused on the topic of Silence and Noise in Jean Rhys’ Wide Sargasso Sea in regards to both their effect upon the characters and how the two are perceived by them, as well as their role as narrative devices. This allowed me to explore my interest in storytelling and cultural anthropology.
The choice to continue my studies with this MA programme stems from its varied and nuanced approaches to various forms of art, as well as its focus on cultural identities, which I am certain will help me reach a deeper understanding of these fields and allow me to conduct proper and thorough research in at least one of them.
