My research interests cover a wide range of topics, from visual art, animation, and videogames to beauty, feminism and self-care practices. My BA thesis probed the extent to which Henry Fielding’s Joseph Andrews surpasses the shortcomings of the conventional – and deeply ambivalent – model of female virtue imposed by Samuel Richardson’s Pamela.
I found this MA programme and the nuanced and complex perspective it offers upon culture and identity extremely attractive. I believe it is a perfect fit for my scholarly interests and I am convinced it will prove invaluable to my academic development.
