When I applied for the BA programme in Philology, I already knew what I wanted to achieve. I knew that I wanted to immerse myself in the study of literature, art, history, and mythology, and, during my BA years, I refined my knowledge of British culture, literature, civilization, and developed a deeper understanding of critical concepts. For my research paper, I decided to focus on Modes of Consciousness in the Works of Henry James, as I was fascinated not only by his innovative techniques which laid the groundwork for modernism but also by the intercultural background of his works, the questions of national identity, and the contrast between American and European values.

The BCS MA programme is the next big step in my academic career, where I am especially eager to pursue my interests in intersectional feminism, gender studies, myth and identity.
