BA in Philology (English and Spanish), Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Bucharest, 2025
I completed my undergraduate degree in English and Spanish Language and Literature, where I discovered how languages, stories and cultural traditions shape the ways we understand the world. One of the most formative parts of my studies was an Erasmus exchange in Spain, which deepened my interest in cross-cultural communication and the movement of ideas across different contexts.
As far as my BA thesis is concerned, entitled Images of Fear in Classic Horror Stories, I examined how different forms of fear are portrayed in Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, focusing on how these narratives reveal cultural anxieties about the body, identity, and the modern condition.
The MA in British Cultural Studies feels like a natural extension of everything I have been drawn to so far. The programme’s interdisciplinary focus creates the perfect space for sharpening my analytical skills and expanding my understanding of how cultural meanings are created, circulated and reshaped over time.Â
