BA in Philology (Romanian and English), Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest, 2024
My BA research paper, entitled A Poetess of Disquiet: The Process of Individuation in Sylvia Plath’s Life and Poetry, has offered me a glimpse into the further research I would like to take on in the field of cultural studies. Starting from an analysis of Plath’s poetry, I realized how important it is to understand her life as well. While working on my paper, a cultural perspective caught my attention and made me recognize once again my larger concern with the world and the tools that we need to understand it. What started for me in high school as an interest in society and its mechanisms, has now become a personal and academic commitment. As a result, this MA programme fulfills my aspirations and has offered me the opportunity to be surrounded by people who can meet at 5 o’clock for teatime conversations, debates, and cultural insights.  Â
